It's entirely legal, it's just sort of hypocritical for Palin to insist that she and her husband are just regular-type people who are hurting because of the bad economy just like everyone else while the campaign is spending this kind of money on their clothes.

I find their plan to be hilariously inept. If you plan to assassinate a major political figure, you probably don't want to go around killing a bunch of other people first. It kind of makes your chances of success plummet.

The Canadian newspapers are sure supporting Obama, if slightly indirectly. (front-page cover stories of Obama, while McCain gets a scarce little article on the fourth page.)

I hope it goes by the polls, and I hope Obama wins.

McCain will not win by a landslide, but Obama can. And I think this country needs an election where there isn't really any question who won.

If Obama wins by a 7 or 8% margin, then that explanation won't really hold water.

I mean, they'll still do it, of course, but it'd be a very tough sell.
