I've been noticing a problem recently in that many topics that people care about and would like to keep discussing are getting spammed to death. I'd like to propose that there be a separate spam thread or forum section or something so that if somebody wants to just spam all day, it doesn't upset other people, and that there be disciplinary action for getting too off topic in a thread that actually has the potential for serious discussion. Granted, I haven't thought much past that part, but something definitely needs to be done to lower the amount of spam.

I would argue that we need a "no spam" section rather than a "spam" section.

Isn't that what debate is for? I don't think anything in any of the other threads is really so serious that we need that kind of rule. It's only natural that conversations flow from one thing to another.

It's true that the forum was too full of spam when it first opened (to the point that I gave up trying to read anything), but that's died down now, so I don't even see a problem that needs fixing.

Sub-spam section is needed for spam too spammy for regular spam.

The spam section IS the area for super spammy spam. The rest of the FORUM is the regular spam section.
