| So I was perusing the interwebs when I got the itching feeling to download a movie I normally wouldn't watch, which lead me to look into Groundhog Day (which has a friggin' 8.4 on IMDb and is in their top 250). I was honestly expecting a mediocre comedy with lost potential (and I tend to not enjoy Bill Murray). Lordy was I awesomely surprised. The movie, while trying to be a comedy, fails miserably at it and becomes more of an offbeat comedy with deep undertones. I mean, the part where | Spoiler: | | | He finally realizes that he's trapped in this day and it doesn't look like it will stop and tries to kill himself, which fails to work. | was honestly chilling and well done. Though the scene afterwards left me a bit bitter in the mouth. Anyways, the themes addressed throughout the movie are genuinely interesting.
| Spoiler: | | | According to the director, the main character was stuck in that day for ten years. While I figure he'd be more of wreck than he turned out to be, it's still pretty nifty, considering I was expecting a maximum of ten days. |

No no, EXPECTING, at the start of the movie. The master piano player and ice sculptor gave me the indication that it was years. _________________ "It is unbecoming for young men to utter maxims." -Aristotle
