...is the title of the [fanfare] sixth novel in the incredibly inaccurately-named Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy. The author will be Eoin Colfer, who is best known for writing the Artemis Fowl books. I listened to the audio version of the first book in that series, but sort of lost interest/gave up after a while. I have mixed feelings. I'm glad we will no longer have to have the series end on the incredibly bleak ending of Mostly Harmless, but I'm not sure about Colfer. If it were up to me, I would have chosen Neil Gaiman.

Interesting. I only read the first three Hitchhiker books (didn't feel like getting on a wait-list for the others), but I do like the Artemis Fowl series.

I only liked the first couple hitchiker books to begin with, and I don't think someone who isn't Douglas Adams could possibly do it justice.

I don't know, I just started reading the first Hitchhikers book and also the first Artemis Fowl book. I don't think Fowl-author could do Adams justice.

It's just such a difference in author styles between the two.

Then again, I sure couldn't name a successor to Adams.
