Sin: Welcome aboard, indeed. Your interests are quite spot-on for this group. BTW, you need to add Neil Gaiman to your list. If you haven't read any of his stuff, then you need to correct that. Start with Neverwhere, or if you prefer graphic novels, The Books of Magic and Death: The High Cost of Living.

If there were some way I could organize a five-player forum Chaos Magic game, I would die a happy man and probably never touch CC again. Shit's that fun.

I would totally be interested, but I don't know how to play. I've got a bunch of cards, mostly, from a set that came out maybe five years ago, but I never had anyone to play with. I've played against the computer on a demo CD a few times though.

Another glaring omission, I must admit. I've read and enjoyed most of his prose work, especially Good Omens, but I haven't read his comics work. And I forgot to mention Terry Pratchett, as well.

As for how I found out about this forum, Stray told me, but please don't direct too much blame at her.

Hm...it could be fun if we organized it like a booster draft...it'd have to be Ravnica though, that's their best set recently...*goes off to another thread to plan this*

Sandman's the advanced course, at this point, for folks that haven't looked at his GN work. BoM and the Death books are more initially accessible.

Funny that you recommend the spinoff book before the original, is all I'm saying.

If it weren't for the huge disparity in size, I'd probably be differently inclined. But the Gaiman Sandman run is frikken huge. And unlike a lot of 'spinoffs', there's really no need to have read the original series to 'get' the Death books--they stand on their own quite nicely.

I think I came from the space between places, or the todash darkness, or the Blind Eternities, or somewhere or other.
