I've got a question, since I missed the original thread. Is this a 'drop everyone into a big gladitorial ring' sort of thing, or is it more like a 'Running Man movie' sort of thing, where you're in this large-scale urban environment with lots of funky stuff to use, and maybe even third parties to manipulate/control?

In a clear versus condition, in anonymous situations, ala L and Kira, where a battle of wits occurs, with only one hint to go on to find the other.

Light has the power to kill whoever he wishes, and Lelouch has the power to have total control over whoever he has eye contact with. (to do anything physically possible, anything)
